SWAT: A young girl died of a bullet injury, while two married women tried to commit suicide by taking poison, in the same day in Brikot Tehsil of Swat district. A young boy drowned in Swat-river and died as well. Police officials confirmed.
According to SHO police station Ghalegay Roshan Ali, the shooting incident took place in the suburban area of Malkidam. where a fourteen-year-old girl, Mst (s) daughter of Gul Nawab, was playing with a pistol in her house, suddenly she was hit by a bullet and was seriously injured and later died of her injuries.
The police have shifted the dead-body to Barikot Hospital for post-mortem and started the investigation of the incident.
On the other hand, a 30-year-old married woman Mst (S) in Mohalla Malakhail Barikot took poison over a domestic dispute, while Mst (N), a woman married for thirty-five years in Galegay, was fed up with epilepsy and committed suicide by taking poison.
“Both the affected women have also been shifted to Civil Hospital Barikot for medical assistance,” he said.
Apart from this, the body of a young man was found in Swat-river at Kota area of Tehsil Barikot.
According to the police, Hamidullah s/o Sahib Jan r/o Khyber district was taking a bath in Swat-river in Khyber district when he was engulfed by the merciless waves of water. The rescuers have taken out his body and shifted it to Barikot Hospital.
