WASHINGTON: Donald Trump is tipped to win South Carolina’s Republican primary, US media project – to continue his march towards the nomination
The former president defeated his last remaining challenger, Nikki Haley, who is the former governor of South Carolina
It’s Trump’s fourth straight victory in the marathon state-by-state contest, but Haley has vowed to stay in the race.
Trump told his victory party it was a “fantastic night” — and he was ready to “look Joe Biden in the eye and say, ‘Joe, you’re fired.’
Americans go to the polls in November, and the presidential contest looks increasingly likely to be a Trump-Biden rematch
Trump said at his earlier victory rally that he had never seen such “spirit” — and that he had never seen the Republican Party so “united.”

The crowd here responds loudly, shouting “she does!” and the room bursts into applause. We are still waiting to hear back from Haley.
We’re outside of Trump’s victory rally in Columbia, which just ended.
Karen came all the way from Florida to see Donald Trump. She also did some phone canvassing for him.
He says he doesn’t care about the former president’s legal problems: “He could run the government under house arrest from the White House and we wouldn’t care. We love him.”
