JHELUM: A shootout between the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) and armed motorists resulted in the death of two ANF personnel and a private worker near Jhelum on GT Road.
The incident took place near Kala Pul on Jalan GT when the ANF team tried to stop a suspicious vehicle. The car owner fired at the ANF team, resulting in the instant death of Head Constable Gulzar and Constable Mazhar. private worker Zeeshan was seriously injured and later admitted to the hospital.
three suspects managed to escape to the nearby forest during the shooting. A large team of police and ANF personnel have launched a search operation along GT Road to trace the suspect.
An ANF spokesperson reported that the driver of the car named Shehzad was arrested. Shahzad, in his first appearance, claimed that a man named Bilal from Kharian had booked the car.
The search for the remaining suspects continues as authorities step up efforts to capture those responsible for the attack.
