A British court rejected Adil Raja’s appeal for a £10,000 fine in the case of Brigadier (R) Rashid Nasir.
Brigadier Rashid (R) Adil Raja, who was prosecuted in a British court, has yet to pay a fine of £10,000. High Court deputy judge Richards Spearman ordered fugitive Adil Raj to pay back £3,000.
Adil Raja applied for exemption from the fine on 16 April 2024 and has now been ordered to pay a fine of three thousand pounds.
It should be noted that the British court has ordered Adil Raja to pay £ 10,000, defamation injunction and security costs against two claims by the appellant Brigadier (Retired) Rashid Naser.
A British court heard that Adil Raja defamed retired Brigadier Rashid Nasser in nine posts on X, Facebook and YouTube.
Adil Raja was given until April 17, 2024 to pay the amount, but he filed an appeal on April 16 to have the sentence overturned. The English courts proved unsatisfied with this view after Adil Raja’s plea to set aside the fine was also rejected.
Rashid, a retired brigadier, filed the case on August 11, 2022 through a British lawyer.
