UPPER DIR: The Deputy Commissioner Upper Dir Irfan Ali has inaugurated the six days drive anti-polio campaign here on Friday.
The inaugural ceremony was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner General Amir Ali Shah, DHO Dr. Khalid Khan, District Population Welfare Officer Taj Muhammad Khan, and otherofficials also present on the occasion.
On this occasion, DC Irfan Ali Safi said that the polio teams must will reach every household in all areas and administer polio drops to children under five years of age. He emphasized that the role and cooperation of parents are crucial in this campaign, and they should fully support the polio teams. He added that it is our national and Islamic responsibility to ensure that no child is left unvaccinated, as it is a matter of their health and well-being.
District Health Officer Dr. Khalid and Population Welfare Officer Taj Muhammad Khan said that the polio campaign will start from today ist of june untill 6th of june in three union councils of Tehsil Brawal, including Dari Kand, ShahiKot, and Jan Batti. Later, a meeting was held at the DC Office Dir, where medical staff briefed the Deputy Commissioner on the arrangements and preparations for the upcoming polio campaign.
