ISLAMABAD: Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Air Force, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu, was visited by U.S. Ambassador to Pakistan, H.E. Mr. Donald Blome. In the course of the meeting, the two dignitaries conveyed their shared intention to strengthen the training momentum between the two sides by means of improved cooperation in bilateral exercises between air forces. In addition, they stressed how crucial it is to support a strong delegation exchange and information exchange in order to strengthen the capacities of the US Air Force and the PAF. The conversation also covered cooperation in the newly created techno parks, emphasizing the use of new technology to improve operational efficacy and efficiency.
The Air Chief highlighted the friendly ties between the two countries and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to strengthening the current cooperative relationship between the two important allies. The Chief of the Air Staff added, “Pakistan deeply values its robust diplomatic, economic and defence ties with the United States of America which are firmly rooted in mutual consensus concerning all important matters pertaining to regional peace, security and stability.”
The visiting envoy expressed his admiration for the Pakistan Air Force’s outstanding professionalism and praised the tremendous progress the force has achieved toward indigenization under the current leadership. The US Ambassador also conveyed his respect for Pakistan’s steadfast dedication to promoting stability and peace in the region. The parties involved agreed to enhance the current military-to-military connection between the two nations, with a particular emphasis on improving training and strengthening operational capabilities.
The Chief of Air Staff and US Ambassador met, demonstrating both sides’ strong desire and readiness to fortify their long-standing strategic alliance into a robust and mutually beneficial defense alliance.
