As fans look forward to the much-anticipated high-voltage T20 World Cup 2024 match between arch-rivals Pakistan and India, the US has provided “extra security” for the June 9 match.

“I can guarantee that this is the greatest security in the history of this county, and I can guarantee that the safest place in Nassau County on June 9 will be inside that stadium,” he said.
Additionally, New York Governor Cathy Hochul has denied reports of threats, saying she is working with law enforcement to ensure the safety of visitors to the Cricket World Cup and the safety of New Yorkers.
“Also, I have directed the New York State Police to implement enhanced law enforcement measures, including increased numbers of law enforcement officers, enhanced surveillance and thorough investigations.
