Islamabad: A district and session court in Islamabad has passed its verdict on a petition in which former prime minister and PTI founder Imran Khan was acquitted along with party leaders Shah Mehmood Qureshi and Faisal Javed.
The request is related to two cases related to the Azadi party’s march, which were registered at the Aabpara police station, according to media reports.
During the hearing conducted by Chief Justice Asirasir Mehmood, PTI lawyers Sardar Masroof and Amina Ali argued for the release of their client.
Sardar Masroof said that the FIR was not filed by the concerned agency and said that even if the case is over, the case may be dismissed as the prosecution has failed to present convincing evidence.
