ISLAMABAD: Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court, Justice Aamer Farooq on Thursday said that the decisions announced by the judges out of anger did not meet the standards of justice.
The IHC CJ was speaking at a ceremony organized by the Islamabad Supreme Court Bar Association.
The IHC CJ expressed concern over the lack of education of young lawyers, saying that in the past, a new legal entrant would spend approximately six months in the chambers of a senior lawyer, being groomed to meet the demanding requirements of the law. practice.
He admitted that he also sometimes got out of hand when dealing with people, insisting that people usually don’t understand when they’re being too polite.
Justice Farooq lamented that the idea of a chamber institution was fast disappearing as lawyers spent more time chatting instead of learning, which he said is a nursery for producing the best legal minds. He said that our ancestors kept the chamber alive while it was kept extinct for the last ten years.
Lawyers should come to court fully prepared with proper notes before they start arguing, with courtroom ethics to be learned by law novices.
