LAHORE: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) selection committee member Wahab Riaz on Tuesday gave an update on pacer Haris Rauf’s injury while announcing his squad for the T20I series against New Zealand.
At a press conference in Lahore, Riaz said Rauf will be “fit for the England series” but will miss the five T20Is against New Zealand this month.
Rauf suffered a shoulder injury while representing Lahore Qalandars in the recently concluded nine-season Pakistan Super League (PSL).
Notably, recently retired pacer Mohammad Amir and all-rounder Imad Wasim have returned to the Pakistan squad for the series starting on April 18.
Meanwhile, Irfan Khan and Usman Khan have come out on top in the selectors after their outstanding performances in nine seasons of the Pakistan Super League (PSL).
The team will be led by star batsman Babar Azam.
