LAHORE: Shehbaz Sharif, president of the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), said on Wednesday that his party saved the country from bankruptcy and delivered economic stability.
“If asked in the court of Allah, I would say that Pakistan was saved from bankruptcy.”
Shehbaz argued that the state’s existence was more important than politics or keeping in power, and he had no regrets about the outcome.
Furthermore, the PML-N president emphasized the party’s tireless efforts, noting, “Working day and night for 16 months, we saved Pakistan from bankruptcy.”
Shahbaz emphasized the consequences of the “storm of inflation” and the failed IMF accord, blaming these issues on former Chief Justice Saqib Nisar.
When discussing the broader implications, he acknowledged the damage to international ties and the formation of divisions. He understood that resolving these divisions would take time. “These divisions will not be overcome in a year or two; we will unite the nation by ending hatred.”
He also announced the commencement of a voyage on February 8, which is reminiscent of 2017.
Shehbaz insisted that the PML-N was not responsible for the PTI’s loss of its electoral emblem, the ‘bat’. Shehbaz insisted that neither Nawaz nor he took the party’s electoral emblem.
“The PTI did not hold inter-party elections, and the entire country is witness to the Supreme Court proceedings. They should have argued in court.
Earlier today, Shehbaz stated that if the PTI had utilized the bat to play an innings for the country’s advancement and prosperity, today’s situation of national affairs and the condition of Pakistan’s people would be vastly different.
In a recent interview with a private news channel, he emphasized the PTI government’s squandered opportunities, arguing that a better path for the country’s advancement and prosperity could have been taken.
He pointed out that when the PTI was in power in 2021, the Election Commission issued notices to them, not the PML-N. As a result, the notice’s effects are purely legal, and the PTI is alone responsible for this situation.
