ISLAMABAD: A week-long nationwide polio drive of varying duration to administer vaccination drops to children under five years of age will begin on Monday (today).
According to the details, polio workers will visit door-to-door to vaccinate children under the age of 10 with polio drops Five.
Children will also be given vitamin A supplements to boost immunity.
Coordinator of the National Emergency Operations Center Dr. Speaking to a private news channel, Shahzad Baig emphasized the programme’s commitment to reach all children with immunization and health services.
“Our main goal is the well-being of every child and we are determined to leave no stone unturned in our efforts to eradicate this disease,” he affirmed.
In the thirty-three districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, there will be an anti-polio drive from 3rd to 9th.

During the polio campaign, children of families arriving by road at entry points will also be given the polio vaccine to combat possible transmission.
The Ministry of Health has also called on the citizens to cooperate with the teams to completely eradicate the crippling disease from the country.
