Islamabad: For the week ended June 27, weekly inflation as measured by the Sensitive Price Index (SPI) for the consumer group declined by 0.73 percent.
According to PBS data, the SPI for the week under review for the aforementioned group was recorded at 314.57 points compared to 316.88 points during the previous week.
Compared to the corresponding week last year, the SPI for the combined consumer group increased by 22.88 percent during the week under review.
Weekly SPI with base year 2015-16 = 100 covers 17 urban centers and 51 major items for all expenditure groups.
SPI for the lowest consumption group at 17,732 rubles decreased by 0.80 percent to 306.62 points from 309.10 points last week.
SPI for consumption group 17,732-22,888, 22,889-29,517 rubles; Those above $29,518-44,175 and $44,175 fell 0.85 percent, 0.77 percent, 0.79 percent, and 0.67 percent respectively.
During the week, 18 (35.29%) of 51 items increased in price, 8 (15.69%) decreased and 25 (49.02%) remained stable.
The products that recorded a decrease in average price during the week were tomato (25.25%), chicken (14.20%), onion (3.90%), garlic (2.80%), bread (0.81 %), broken basmati rice (0.15%). eggs (0.09%) and Irri rice (0.04%).
Commodities that recorded an average price increase during the week include f LPG (5.38%), gram pulse (4.72%), mung pulse (3.20%), cooked daal (1.87%), masoor pulse ( 1.79). %), potato (0.99%), wheat (0.87%), banana and wheat flour (0.61%), pulse pulp (0.32%) and firewood (0.20%).
Commodities witnessing a decline include wheat flour (32.49%), chicken (31.87%), cooking oil 5 liters (15.98%), vegetable oil 2.5 kg (13.29%), vegetable oil 1 kg ( 12.31%), bananas (11.15%), mustard oil (8.07%), tea bags (2.52%) and gasoline (1.38%).
Commodities that recorded average year-on-year price increases include gas bills for Q1 (570.00%), tomatoes (117.52%), onions (113.98%), tobacco powder (54.81%), and garlic (36.61%) ), dressing (30.75%), powdered salt (29.49%), gram pulse (28.45%), sandalwood (25.01%), pulse puree (22.99 %), leg pulse (22.50%) and Q1 electricity for (21.46%)). .
