Karachi: Sindh Chief Minister Mirat Ali Shah said that the pre-budget session could not be held due to Senate elections in March.
Addressing the Sindh Assembly on Thursday, he said that the Sindh government has allocated $959 billion for development projects in the province.
“Even our opponents praised the public-private partnership offered by the Sindh government,” he said.
According to Mirat Ali Shah, the Sindh Assembly holds a pre-budget meeting every year, but this time it was not possible because of the Senate elections.
“Punjab has provided $842 billion, KP 416 billion and Balochistan $320 billion for the development scheme, but Sindh has provided more money $959 billion,” said Mirat Ali Shah.
He said that the development schemes of Sindh were suspended during the caretaker period but continued in Punjab.
Sindh CM believes that no provincial government will build a new airport, but Sindh government is doing it in Tharparkar.
“We have empowered our women in Thar and established schools and colleges in the area. Our women will soon be driving pink buses,” he said. We have recorded construction work in Thar from 2018 to 2023″.
