Mardan: President Mardan Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Provincial General Secretary of Tanzeem Tajiran Zahir Shah met the Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister House Islamabad. On this occasion, the presidents of various chambers and representatives of associations were present, besides Ministers of Industry, Commerce, Petroleum, Finance, Power and Electricity, Secretaries and other officials were also present.
While thanking the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Zahir Shah presented useful suggestions regarding the budget for the current financial year along with offering effective and concrete suggestions for the improvement and stability of the economy, the existing tax burden, the sales tax system was simplified making and related problems and suggestions for its solution.
Apart from this, there was a detailed discussion on the barriers that are hindering imports and exports, on many of the proposals, the Prime Minister of Pakistan issued orders on the spot, which the officials of the Chambers and Associations appreciated and said that the economy of the country is moving towards improvement, which is a substantial result of petroleum products, daily food items.
It is coming in the form of reduction in prices which the business community and common people have breathed a sigh of relief. An effective change has also come out in terms of foreign exchange and GDP. President Mardan Chamber Zahir Shah also expressed concerns about the businessman-friendly (Tajir Dost Scheme) scheme for small businessmen.
It is not known what will be the terms of the small businessmen regarding this scheme till now and doubts and concerns are being found among the small businessmen. If the representatives of all the small traders are taken into confidence and the characteristics of this scheme are clarified, then all the small traders are willing to pay taxes voluntarily to contribute to the economy of the country.
The Prime Minister of Pakistan, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, while addressing the guests said that the role of the business community in the development of the country’s economy is very important which cannot be denied, so our first priority will be to take the country’s economy on track provide all facilities to the businessmen and industrialists, then the country economy will march toward development.
