ISLAMABAD: Today marks the 12th anniversary of Arfa Karim Randhawa’s passing. Arfa was the world’s youngest Microsoft Certified Professional.
She passed away in Lahore on January 14, 2012, at the age of 16, from an epileptic seizure.
Arfa Karim, who was born on February 2, 1995, in a small hamlet close to Faisalabad, became the youngest Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in 2004 when he passed the MCP exam at the age of nine.
When she was ten years old, Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates extended an invitation for her to visit the company’s headquarters in the US. For her genius in the field of information technology (IT), she received numerous honors and recognition on a global scale.
