PESHAWAR: Bank of Khyber (BoK) proudly celebrated MSME Week, an initiative of the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) dedicated to recognizing and honoring the determination, innovation and entrepreneurial spirit of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
The week started with an engaging panel discussion at the BoK headquarters, where representatives of major banks, SBP, SMEDA and leading SMEs spoke. The panel was moderated by Fauziah Mehmood, Head of Marketing, BoK and included panelists such as Sher Muhammad, Group Head, Conventional Banking, BoK; Ali Khan Arbab, Group Head of Islamic Banking (A), BoK; Mohammad Haroon, Deputy General Manager, BSC Peshawar, SBP; Sharf Un Nisa, Regional Business Director, First Women Bank; Umer Aziz Khan, Regional Director, HBL; Rashid Aman, Provincial Chief, SMEDA, KP; and Shahida Shah, WEE Project Leader, UN Women.
Various banks and SMEs enthusiastically participated and provided opportunities to interact and learn about the respective products and services. Promotional activities were also held across BoK branches to raise awareness of the sector and its offerings. The BoK continues to support the growth and success of SMEs and recognizes their vital contribution to economic development and innovation in Pakistan.
