Islamabad: In order to further solidify the two nations’ bilateral commercial and economic connections, the president of the Republic of Bosnia and Herzegovina will visit Pakistan this year, according to H.E. Emin Cohodarevic, ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to Pakistan. According to him, Bosnia’s president places a high value on close ties with Pakistan, Turkey, and Azerbaijan since these nations have traditionally welcomed Bosnia and Herzegovina. While speaking to the business community at the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), he made this statement.
The ambassador announced that on May 21–23, 2024, Bosnia and Herzegovina will host the Sarajevo Business Forum. The Forum would be attended by the President of Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as invited leaders of the Pakistani government. He suggested that in order to foster contacts, exchange ideas, and seize commercial opportunities, ICCI organize a high-level corporate delegation to attend. According to him, Pakistan would have better market access to these nations if it had tight ties with Bosnia, which has an FTA with the European Free Trade Association and is attempting to join the EU. According to him, Pakistanis with valid visas for the US, EU, or Shenzhen can travel to Bosnia without obtaining one. He promised to put in the effort.
