CHANDU JUARA is a story about a man who refuses to give up. 2nd 1952. Murash Murlikant Petkar (Karthik Aaryan) lives with his father, mother and brother Jagannath in Islampur, Maharashtra. Murli and Jagannath witness KD Jadhav, the first Indian to win an Olympic medal, being greeted with much love and affection at the Karad railway station. Murlikant decided that he too would win the Olympics. His classmates laughed at his dream. They even called him ‘Champion Chandu’ to tease him. Murlikant joined the akadha of Ganpat Kaka (Ganesh adadav). Murlikant was a keen observer and learned many techniques by watching other wrestlers play. Ganpat sent Dagdu, son of local chief Nanasaheb Patil, to play, hoping Dagdu would win and the chief would be proud. However, Murlikant defeated Dagdu. All hell breaks loose and Murlikant escapes. He gets on the train where he meets Garnail Singh (Bhuvan Arora). When Murlikant tells him about his dream of winning an Olympic medal, Garnail suggests that he joins the army. As luck would have it, Murlikant was shortlisted and joined the armed forces. He also took up boxing under Tiger Ali (Vijay Raaz). In 1965, during the war in Kashmir, everything was going well until one day, his life was turned upside down. What happens next forms the rest of the movie.
Chandu Champion Movie Review:
The story of Kabir Khan, Sumit Arora and Sudipto Sarkar is inspiring. It is based on the life of a man who is unknown to many and is used for the benefit of the producers. The screenplay by Kabir Khan, Sumit Arora and Sudipto Sarkar is captivating and has some dramatic and emotional moments. However, it leaves much to be desired. Kabir Khan, Sumit Arora and Sudipto Sarkar’s dialogues are classic and some memorable lines.
Kabir Khan has his share of pluses. The story goes back and forth between the events of 2017 and the events of 1952 to 1972, and the transition is very smooth. This is especially true in the second half. It doesn’t let the movie down and provides the main attraction of the movie. Some of the scenes include Murlikant defeating Dagdu, Murlikant meeting Tiger Ali, Murlikant’s struggle to eat a fish hook, etc. Breakpoints like these seem to be thrown all at once, adding to the tension. Post-interval, the sequence of the match is memorable and so is Murlikant’s monologue in front of the members of the Indian Olympic Association. The ending is watchable and fresh about the important moments in Murli’s life.
On the way to Ipolo, he may have nailed the finale. – There are more bench chances in the semi-final than in the final. Also, there have been a lot of sports movies lately and this has also had an impact. Secondly, Murlikant’s reasons for presenting the case to the President of India should have been illustrated rather than stated verbally. Then the effect will be greater. Finally, the Murlikant family received raw materials. Murlikant fled to Pune and never informed his parents or brother that he was safe. He didn’t care if they were okay, especially when his life was at stake. He was also surprised not to know that his family had made it to the finals in the Olympics. They only learned about it through the radio. From this point of view, the scene of Murlikant’s brother, when he says he cannot take care of himself, makes no sense.
Juara Chandu Film Screening:
Kartik Aaryan gets into the skin of the character and gives a brilliant performance. It’s unlike anything he’s done before and proves once again that his talent is strong. He shines in difficult scenes, but watch out for him where he gets old. His transformation will surprise the audience. Vijay Raaz provides excellent support. He contributed a lot to the character with his performance. Bhuvan Arora is reliable. Bhagyashree Borse (Nayantara) is beautiful in a cameo and has a great screen presence. Rajpal adadav (Topaz) is charming and adds to the laughs of the film. Ganesh adadav managed to register. The cast of Ashashpal Sharma (Uttam Singh) and Murlikant’s mother Jagannath, Dagdu, Nansaheb Patil and Murlikant’s son Rajaram Petkar are fair. Ayan Khan deserves a special mention for playing young Murlikant. Shreyas Talpade (Sachin Kamble) is the wonder of the film and quite entertaining. Sonali Kulkarni is also very good.
Chandu Champion Music and Other Technical Aspects:
Pritam’s music is disappointing. ‘Satyanaas’ is a memorable single. Hook “Tu Hi Juara” is interesting. ‘Sarphira’ and other songs have no trace. Julius Packiam’s calm score is good.
