BEIJING: China’s largest air freight carrier by fleet size, SF Airlines, announced the start of a new air cargo route connecting Ezhou Huahu Airport in the Hubei Province of central China with Lahore. This year, SF Airlines established its first international air cargo route, the Ezhou-Lahore route, out of China’s first cargo-focused airport, Ezhou Huahu Airport.
There will be three weekly flights on the Ezhou-Lahore route, offering more than 300 tons of weekly air travel capacity between Ezhou and Lahore. According to China Economic Net (CEN), the majority of the commodities being carried include textiles, 3C electronic products, electronic equipment, etc. Huahu Airport’s decision to start this international freight route is a significant step in expanding its route network to South Asia.
In addition to giving Chinese brands greater logistical convenience to investigate the Pakistani market, it will offer a reliable and efficient air logistics channel for trade and economic exchanges between China and Pakistan. Ezhou-Delhi and Ezhou-Chennai were the two direct cargo routes that SF Airlines had previously opened from Ezhou to South Asia. The opening of the new Pakistani route would significantly boost Ezhou’s South Asian air transport network. As of right now, SF Airlines, the aviation division of China’s top courier company, SF Express, has established 11 international cargo routes from Ezhou to various foreign locations.
