LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz on Friday sought a list of illegal housing communities installed in Lahore.
The Prime Minister visited Lahore Development Authority (LDA) headquarters on Friday and was welcomed by DG LDA Tahir Farooq.
The CM also chaired a meeting on the LDA project.
Senior Minister Marrium Aurangzeb, Special Assistant to Prime Minister Zeshan Malik, Chief Secretary, Chief Secretary and other officials attended the meeting.
Director General of LDA Tahir Farooq reminded the CM and said that LDA will generate more revenue in the ongoing financial year. An online service has been launched to transfer resident cards.
In the meeting, it was decided to establish Punjab Development Authority in the province.
The Prime Minister also sought a complete record of illegal housing societies in Lahore.
Improvement of M.M.Alam road and building renovation was also approved in the meeting.
It has also been decided that tram services will be started at Azatlyk, Main Bazaar, Mini Market and Hali Road for the residents of Lahore.
Signal-free corridor from Blok Karim to Jalan Raya was approved in the meeting.
The Prime Minister was also directed to ensure the early completion of the sports complex in Minar-e-Pakistan and the Chinese scheme.
