LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif reviewed the distribution and monitoring of Ramadan Nigahban Relief Program here on Tuesday.
The CM presiding over the meeting said that the process of delivering the right to the people at their doorsteps has started and added that the distribution of big gifts to the people of Punjab on the occasion of Ramadan has started.
The concerned authorities informed the meeting that a reliable system has been developed to ensure transparent distribution of the biggest Ramadan aid package to the beneficiaries. Distribution is monitored using a live dashboard and advanced technology. A helpline has been set up and will be formally launched tomorrow. Beneficiaries will be able to register complaints through the helpline.
The Chief Minister was informed that NADRA (National Database and Registration Authority) and BISP (Benazir Income Support Programme) beneficiary data is being used for distribution of Ramadan Nigahban relief packages.
It was further informed that the distribution of Ramadan relief packages will officially begin on the 2nd of Ramadan and will be completed on the 10th of Ramadan. For the first time in the history of Punjab, a Ramadan package is delivered to every deserving person’s home. CM ordered to ensure high quality of Ramadan packages. “I will not tolerate complaints about the quality of flour, ghee, sugar and other food items,” she said.
