KARACHI: CTD successfully foiled planned terror attack on a Muharram procession in Karachi by arresting a key militant.
DIG Sheikh revealed that Shoaib joined the banned TTP after reaching Karachi and conspired to target the 8th Muharram procession. The arrest yielded considerable intelligence, a suicide jacket recovered from Shoaib’s possession.
The CTD under the leadership of DIG Sheikh has intensified its efforts to prevent potential threats during the sensitive period of Muharram.
The department is conducting further investigations to eliminate any further threats and ensure the safety of the public.
