WANA: A team of Shuhad-e-Waziristan Welfare Association (SWWA) visited a girls’ private educational institution, Future Children Academy (FCA), Wana Ghowa Khowa, on Tuesday, while participating in a sports event organized by the female students.
On this occasion Gul Nissa Wazir said, educated and convinced girls about the importance of education, that our organization will always emphasize the education of women, our organization will raise its voice in every forum for girls’ education rights.
Gul Nissa Wazir from Shuhad-e-Waziristan Welfare Association said on this occasion, I request the people of my village that women’s education is very important nowadays, that we should put aside our personal interests and think about them together.
She said that education of girls is the basic and collective need of our village and we all have to pay attention to it.
She said that our people have kept girls away from the education system, this does not diminish our pride, however, education of girls in the society can eliminate ignorance, but we have held fast to the same old traditions that women are our honor.
She said that if our girls go to school, we will be disrespected in the society, however, this is not the case, our honor ends there when we keep our daughters away from knowledge.
She said that all these good wishes are crushed under the feet, may God keep your daughters involved in the education system.
She asked a question to the people and said, “Don’t daughters have any right to make their own future?” that women do not have the right to present their opinion in society like men.
