ISLAMABAD: The first standardized quality test for the 75,000 information technology graduates will take place on January 15, according to Minister of Information Technology Dr. Umar Saif.
Dr. Saif outlined important choices made to modernize IT education in an interview with a private TV channel. These decisions were made in cooperation with HEC, the Pakistan Software Export Board, the National Computing Accreditation Council, the Examination Testing Council, and the Pakistan Software Houses Association.
Students who pass the exam will receive employment offers from the Industry Placement Program, according to Dr. Saif. In order to prepare students for the demands and trends of the modern economy, he said, funding will be set aside to support specialized industrial courses at universities.

He clarified that when grading a university and approving the enrollment of IT students, the National Computing Accreditation Council takes into account the pass rate of students.
In order to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and practical experience, he emphasized the significance of educational institutions aligning with industry requirements and the necessity of facilitating industry-specific training.
