As a fresh batch of rains lash the country, Met Department Director General Mehr Sahibzada Khan has issued fresh weather forecasts indicating continued cloud cover and occasional sunshine in many areas during the coming week. He added that from March 30 to April 1, heavy rainfall with the possibility of hail is expected in various regions.
The onset of this renewed spell of rain means many areas will remain cloudy throughout next week, Khan said, adding that the remaining days of Ramazan are expected to be cold.
However, it has predicted heavy rains in many areas from March 30 to April 1 with fear of hailstorm at many places.
The change in weather was already witnessed in Quetta, where rain accompanied by hail began. According to reports from the Met Department, these weather conditions are expected to continue for the next 24 hours. Furthermore, forecasts indicate that rain is likely to continue in northern Balochistan till March 29.
The Met Directorate General stressed that the expected rains may bring relief from the recent warm weather, especially during Ramazan. However, citizens are advised to remain cautious and take necessary precautions, especially in areas prone to heavy rains and hail.
