LAHORE: The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) will host the ICC Champions Trophy in February-March 2025.
After inspections of the National Bank Stadium in Karachi and the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, the ICC delegation moved to the Pindi Cricket Stadium on Wednesday. Sarah Edgar, Senior Manager of Events Operations, and Aun Muhammad Zaidi, Manager of Events Operations, conducted a thorough assessment of the stadium’s facilities.
PCB officials gave the delegation a comprehensive overview of the ongoing preparations at the Pindi Stadium, including security arrangements. Chris Tetley, head of ICC events, also joined the delegation in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During their meeting, PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi held talks with Tetley and other ICC officials, including Chief Operating Officer Salman Naseer and Director of International Cricket Usman Wahla.

Discussions centered on the meticulous arrangements required to host the Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Naqvi assured the ICC delegation of comprehensive preparation at all levels and stressed the importance of ensuring a successful tournament. He reiterated his commitment to complete the upgrade of the stadium in time for the event and confirmed that all necessary tasks would be resolved without delay.
Naqvi reaffirmed the PCB’s determination to effectively host the Champions Trophy in Pakistan.
The ICC delegation expressed satisfaction with the facilities inspected in Karachi, Lahore and Rawalpindi.
Naqvi stressed the importance of ensuring reliable arrangements and timely completion of all important matters for the successful implementation of the tournament.
