DUBAI: As ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaches, a high-level delegation will visit Pakistan to review preparations for the mega event. According to sources, the inspection team is expected to consist of six members, including heads and representatives of various departments. This visit is likely to be the last visit before the Champions Trophy. It is worth noting that ICC officials, including tender advisers, security chiefs and event staff, had earlier made three separate visits to review the arrangements. During its five-day visit, this latest team will begin its inspection from Rawalpindi, focusing on Lahore and Karachi. In addition, the team will meet Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials to discuss the schedule, practice matches, training venues and ticket sales. In response, PCB officials will provide a detailed briefing on the upgrades being carried out at the venues ahead of the ICC Champions Trophy. Three venues – Karachi, Rawalpindi and Lahore – will host eight teams’ matches and as per the PCB plan proposed by the ICC, all India’s matches will be played in Lahore. The PCB has also earmarked Rs 12.80 billion for upgrading three stadiums. Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore, National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi and Rawalpindi International Cricket Stadium will be elevated in front of the marquee.
