SWAT: Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Akhtar Hayat visited Swat Wednesday and chaired a high level meeting of senior police officials at RPO office in Saidu sharif of Swat district.
When IG reached the Regional Police Office, Saidu Sharif, he was greeted by armed police.
In the meeting Additional IG CTD Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shaukat Abbas, Regional Police Officer Malakand Muhammad Ali Khan, DPO Swat Dr. Zahidullah, DPO Shangla Muhammad Imran, DPO Lower Dir Saleem Abbas Kalachi, DPO Bajaur Waqas Rafiq, DPO Buner Shah Hasan Khan along with SP CTD Swat Farooq Jan and other police officers were participated.
RPO Malakand Muhammad Ali Khan gave a detailed briefing to the IGP regarding the law and order and security situation in Malakand division in view of the current situation.
IG Akhtar Hayat Khan while reviewing the current security situation of Malakand Division issued instructions to the police officers to secure the life and property of the people in the area and to improve the security arrangements.
He said that there will be no compromise on the law and order situation in any area of Malajd Division including Swat district.
He said that the police force is ready to face all kinds of situations and no sacrifice will be spared in this regard.
“Taking strict notice of the recent terror incidents in Swat Dir, Bajur and Buner, he issued orders to the district police officers to ensure strict security arrangements in their districts.
