Like the rest of the world, Kashmir Exploitation Day was celebrated yesterday in Pakistan. The world knows that five years ago India terminate the special status of Kashmir and on August 5, 2019, the special status of Kashmir was passed through an inhumane constitutional amendment.
While Modi’s fascist-based government formally started the plan to turn the majority of Kashmiri Muslims into a minority, on which the international community including the United Nations has remained silent until now.
In solidarity with occupied Kashmir rallies and meetings were organized in various cities of the country, while in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly 3 joint declarations were passed by the opposition and government benches in this regard, besides a minute’s silence was observed to express solidarity with Kashmir. In their expression on this subject in the assembly the members said that the United Nations should take notice against India involved in the massacre of Muslims in Kashmir and pressure should be put on it to end this cruel law.
Apart from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa other provinces of the country also observed Kashmir Exploitation Day against the incident of usurpation of Occupied Kashmir by the Indian Modi government, in addition protest demonstrations were held throughout the country.
Moreover on the occasion of Kashmir Exploitation Day, the Prime Minister of Pakistan while addressing a special session of the Legislative Assembly of Azad Kashmir, reminded the United Nations that according to the resolutions of the United Nations in Occupied Kashmir, this issue should be resolved by giving them the right to a referendum of their own free will.
It should be remembered that the Modi government had abolished Article 370 from the Indian Constitution and divided Occupied Kashmir into three parts and also abolished the statehood of Occupied Kashmir.
Although the international human rights organizations have maintained a criminal silence. However, the Pakistani nation and the political and military leadership are standing behind the Kashmiris, they are ready to thwart every conspiracy of the RSS-minded Modi government.
This is the motive why President Asif Ali Zardari in his special message on the occasion of Exploitation Day said that India took unilateral and illegal measures 5 years ago to weaken the disputed status of Occupied Kashmir. He said that India’s internal legislation and judiciary Decisions cannot suppress the just struggle of the Kashmiri people. The President demanded the international community to urge India to implement the resolutions of the Security Council. Saluting the perseverance and bravery, he said that India should withdraw the unilateral and illegal actions of August 5, 2019 and will continue diplomatic support.
On the other hand, on the occasion of expressing solidarity with the Kashmiris, the Pakistan Army has expressed its determination, which has definitely raised the morale of Kashmir. Chief of Army staff General Asim Munir, Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Sidhu and Naval Chief Admiral Naveed Ashraf said in their message that Pakistan supports the legitimate and long struggle of the Kashmiri people for the right to self-determination.
In addition the statement of the ISPR said that the Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir violated international laws. Serious violations of India’s unjust actions and state oppression are a constant threat to regional stability. According to ISPR’s statement, lasting peace in the region depends on the resolution of the Kashmir conflict in accordance with the resolutions of the United Nations and the aspirations of Kashmiris.
The statement said that the armed forces of Pakistan pay tribute to the martyrs of Occupied Kashmir for their extraordinary sacrifices, the armed forces will continue to support Kashmiris in their struggle against oppression and tyranny on political, moral and humanitarian grounds.
The expression of solidarity with the Kashmiri people by the armed forces and political forces has proved that once again the whole nation is organized on this important issue about which concerns were being talked about, but with this exemplary solidarity all these concerns should now be removed.
However, it is important to remove the flaws in the Kashmir policy and give a sharp answer to India on this matter so that there is no possibility of any misunderstanding in the future. Apart from this, there is a need for political parties to stop scoring points against each other on Kashmir policy, so that this important cause cannot be harmed further.
