The Meteorological Department has predicted rain for the final week of January, which could provide some respite from the current dry weather as winter tightens its grasp.
Chief Meteorologist Chaudhry Aslam has issued a warning over the possibility of strong fog around this time, which could cover the city in a layer of mist. The good news is that the increased humidity will help clear the air and lessen Lahore’s infamous air pollution, even though it may interfere with some people’s travel plans.
Aslam predicted, “The cold will get even more intense.” “Get ready for chilly mornings and wear warm clothing, especially in the evening and early morning hours.”

However, there is a benefit to the gloomy cloud cover. Aslam pointed out that although the increased fog may cause problems with visibility, it will also provide a little relief from the infamous air pollution of Lahore.
“The thicker fog will act as a natural filter, trapping some of the pollutants and improving air quality,” he said.
