Khyber: Former tribal organizations were merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa without the consent of the tribal majority. A massive gathering of thousands of tribes has been planned for Babe-e-Khyber on May 8, 2024.
This view was expressed by the Chairman of FATA Qaumi Jirga Bismallah Khan in a press conference at Landi Kotal Press Club on Sunday.
Malik Bahadar Shah, Malik Muhammad Shah, Malik Abdurrazak Afridi, Malik Hifzurehman and others said that the decision to unite was taken without the consent of the tribe and some representatives were elected for most of the tribes who did not support the union.
Moreover, the replacement system deprived them of the benefits they enjoyed in the previous system, and the will of the unrepresented people was imposed on many tribes that did not support the union.
“Tribals are committed to the norms and values of the tribal community and any violent agenda is unacceptable, the tradition is unacceptable,” he said, adding that they would work to restore it.
He also asked the Supreme Court to deliver justice and help him get rid of the alien system.
All tribes from Waziristan to Bajaur have been invited to participate in the anti-merger rally on May 8, 2024 in Bab-e-Khyber.
