SWAT: Naumania Country Day School Kanju Campus set an example by giving 1500 saplings to Mehran Khan, Project Director of Urban Area Development Authority (UDA) Kanju Township in Swat District.
Project Director Mehran Khan inaugurated the plantation campaign by planting saplings in front of the township office and appreciated the efforts of the school management.
Director of Naumania Country Day School and Head of Naumania Foundation Dr. Kausar Ali announced the planting of 8000 saplings on this occasion and under this laudable project, 3,000 saplings are planned in Kanju township and 5,000 saplings in Charbagh Tehsil.
“For the first time in the history of Swat, a foundation has taken such an initiative through a private educational institution that 8000 saplings will be planted in Swat to reduce environmental pollution.”
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kausar Ali said that Naumania Country Day School and Naumania Foundation are not only focused on preventing environmental pollution but also promoting a comprehensive educational experience for its students.
He said that children are being included in various activities while promoting a sense of responsibility towards the environment and society and prizes and awards are also distributed among the performing children so that more enthusiasm can emerge in them.
Project Director UDA Mehran Khan said on this occasion that the steps were taken by Naumania Country Day School and Naumania Foundation in Kanju Township to practically establish a green environment and we value them.
He said that Pakistanis must have a green Pakistan and it is the common responsibility of all of us to plant more trees to reduce the negative effects of climate change in this context, it is the duty of every citizen that at least two plants must be planted.
