KARACHI: The Pakistan Navy (PN) on Monday conducted a Weapons Firing (LWF) in the Arabian Sea to demonstrate its combat readiness and combat capabilities, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a press release.
During a firepower demonstration attended by Pakistan Fleet Commander Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, the Navy’s FM-90B Surface to Air Missile successfully destroyed an aerial drone target, reaffirming the combat potential of the PN, the military’s media wing added.
“The exercise was conducted to verify PN operational plans and assess war preparedness,” ISPR noted. Chief Guest Vice Admiral Abbasi, commended the PN officers for their professionalism on the occasion of the gun firing, conducted at the culmination of the naval phase of the PN SEA SPARK-2024 naval exercise, reiterating the PN’s commitment to ensure Pakistan’s maritime defense and ensure national security. maritime interests at any cost.

The naval exercise comes at a time when all three branches of the country’s armed forces, including the Pakistan Army and the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), regularly conduct various training exercises to ensure combat readiness to protect the country’s sovereignty.
A day earlier, the 7th Pakistan Army International Team Exercise (PATS)-2024 was inaugurated at the National Counter-Terrorism Center (NCTC) in Pabbi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
Pakistan Army Team Spirit is a professional, task-oriented and task-oriented military exercise held annually in Pakistan. The exercise requires the highest standard of physical fitness, mental agility/toughness and professional military expertise to make quick decisions in a variety of situations while executing challenging missions in a near-realistic environment.
A total of 20 friendly countries are participating in the event, including military observers. Major participants include Pakistan, Bahrain, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Turkey, United States of America and Uzbekistan, while Azerbaijan, Belarus, China, Myanmar, Germany, Indonesia, Japan and Oman will witness the exercise as military observers.
