In Punjab, Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, significant progress has been made in the revenue collection sector, with a total of more than $400 billion collected since the introduction of the e-stamping system.
This revelation came in the recent review meeting chaired by Punjab Information Technology Board (PITB) Chairman Faisal Yousuf. The meeting attended by Sajid Latif, Director General (Director General), Directorate of e-Governance, PITB and other officials revealed the extraordinary results of this innovative system.
In the online platform created through the joint efforts of PITB and the Board of Revenue (BoR), citizens have embraced the convenience of digital transactions beyond expectations.
To date, the system has helped process more than 28.4 million challenges, including the issuance of 19.3 million stamp papers. It is known that Punjab alone contributes $371.2 billion, Sindh more than $27.1 billion and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa $1.75 billion to public revenue through this regulated mechanism.
Chief Faisal Yusuf said he was satisfied with the success of the e-stamping system and highlighted its key role in modernization and increasing transparency in revenue generation.
By digitizing the issuance of stamp paper, the system not only replaces traditional methods, but also strengthens the revenue stream by reducing the risks associated with fraud, financial errors and fraud.
