Islamabad: Pakistan’s exports of goods and services to the United Kingdom (UK) increased by 2.31 percent in the first ten months of this fiscal year (2023-24) compared to the same period last year. Bank of Pakistan (SBP) informed.
According to SBP data, total exports to the UK stood at US$1.685 billion in July-April (2023-24).
In 2024, UK exports reached $154,613 million in April 2024 and $151,111 million in April 2023.
According to SBP data, British exports in April 2024 decreased by 13.39 percent compared to exports of $178.517 million in April 2024.
According to SBP data, Pakistan’s exports to other countries increased by 10.64 percent from $23.199 billion to $25.669 billion in the first ten months.
On the other hand, imports from the United Kingdom during the month under review were recorded at $695.909 million against $512.171 million in July-April last year (2023-24), an increase of 35.87 percent.
Last year, UK imports increased to US$43.003 million in April 2024, compared to US$31.875 million in April 2023.
According to the data, British imports to the country decreased by 2.21 percent in nominal terms in April 2024, compared to US imports of $43.976 million in March 2024.
According to the data, the country’s total imports decreased by 5.27 percent from $45.766 billion to $43.353 billion.
