SWAT: Mr. Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, Honorable the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court, presided over a progress review meeting of District Judiciary and members of the Bar Associations of Malakand Division.
Honorable the Chief Justice Peshawar High Court chaired a meeting of the District Judiciary, presidents of Peshawar High Court Mingora Bench Bar Association, District and Tehsil Bar Associations of Malakand Division and members of the KP Bar Council at Peshawar High Court, Mingora Bench (Swat) on 10th May,2024.
The objective of the meeting was to have progress review of the Court case pendency, address issues that hampers case dispensation and to develop liaison in between the Bench and Bars for speedy dispensation of justice.
During the meeting Honorable the Chief Justice put emphasis on collaboration between legal fraternity for easy & expeditious dispensation of Justice to the litigant public.
The Chief Justice further directed the District Judiciary to work with utmost dedication to overcome sufferings of the litigants and provide maximum assistance to them being the core legatee of judicial system.
The District & Sessions Judges presented the current status of pending cases in their respective districts and discussed the challenges being faced. The Bar representatives also shared their issues and requested Honorable the Chief Justice for resolution. The Chief Justice directed all district & sessions judges to gear up their efforts for effective court and case management within the available resources. He reiterated the Peshawar High Court’s firm stance against any malpractices within the judicial system, emphasizing a zero-tolerance policy. He urged District & Sessions Judges to remain vigilant, ensuring that any such misconduct is dealt with iron hand.
In matters relating to infrastructure projects of judiciary in Malakand division, hon’ble the Chief Justice assured that despite shortage of funds from the provincial government he is committed to utilize the available resources by prioritizing the schemes for timely completions.
Rebuilding public trust requires a collective effort from all stakeholder. Without our firm commitment, the chief justice said, achieving this milestone is not possible. He also assured his full support for the jusice sector cause and said expected the same from all stackholders.
