SWAT: The Election appealet Tribunal ( Peshwar High Court Mingora Bench) on Friday accepted the nomination papers of the various Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf(PTI) candidates who were earlier rejected by the relevant returning officers in Malakand division. A total of 86 appeals were filed by PTI candidates, with 60 nomination papers already reviewed and accepted. Justice Muhammad Naeem Anwar’s tribunal is scheduled to hear the remaining appeals on Monday. Justice Naeem Anwar granted permission for all candidates to participate in the upcoming election and directed the Election Commission to release a revised list.

Advocate Sohail Sultan and others lawyers represented Tehreek-e-Insaf Swat’s leadership in court during the proceedings. Accepted nominations include appeals from PTI’s divisional president Fazal Hakeem for PK 6, PK 5, NA 3, and 2; PTI ex-MNA Saleem Ur Rahman for NA-3 and NA-2; former provincial minister Dr Amjad Ali for PK 7; former MPA Mian Sharafat Ali for PK-3 and NA-2; and ex-MPA Azizullah Gran for PK5, PK6, PK7, and NA3. The hearing for the appeals of other candidates, including former federal minister Murad Saeed and Riaz Ahmed, has been postponed until Monday.
