Anwaarul Haq Kakar, the acting prime minister, traveled to Zurich on Sunday in order to attend the World Economic Forum’s (WEF) 54th Annual Meeting in Davos, which is scheduled to take place from January 15–19.
The prime minister was met by high-ranking officials, Amir Shaukat, Pakistan’s ambassador to Switzerland, and Bilal Ahmed, Pakistan’s permanent representative in Geneva.
The Foreign Office Spokesperson posted on her official X account that the prime minister would be giving a keynote speech at the gathering with the theme “Trade Tech’s Trillion Dollar Promise.”
In order to “avoid an era of global conflict, restore faith in the global system, and prevent economic fracture,” PM Kakar would attend three significant thematic events.
He would also meet with officials and business executives off-site from the event.
