PM’s offer to opposition

There is no final word in politics nor are the avenues of negotiation closed but for the last ten years politics in the country has reached the extreme of egoism which has caused more damage to democracy. One of the ongoing political clashes in the country the only remedy is that the parties belonging to the ruling party and the opposition should unite at least on national issues so that the effects of undemocratic forces can be eliminated and a real democracy can be laid in the country.

Although the differences between the government and the opposition have widened due to the last general elections but someone has to take the initiative. The country cannot be run in a suffocating environment nor can its economic conditions be improved. Perhaps that is why Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has once again offered negotiations to Tehreek-e-Insaf.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif said that if someone is abused, the bar of justice should always be heavy. If founder PTI has problems today then come sit and talk. The Prime Minister has said that in 2018, there was talk of economic pact but the slogans raised on the presentation of the economic pact are unmentionable.

The members of the opposition also hugged the Prime Minister, to which he also responded with hugs. The important thing is that he is ready to talk with the opposition.

He said that Ali Muhammad Khan gave a very emotional speech. I wish he would also refer to my mother’s death. I applied to the jail superintendent for leave on the day of my mother’s death but I didn’t get it. I don’t want to cry about my personal problems here.

Shehbaz Sharif said that I am also a cancer patient and have also been in jail. I was brought into a prisoner van to make my back hurt more. We were not allowed to bring food from home. Medicines were stopped because we don’t want them to be abused like that. There was a time when politicians used to share each other’s sorrows despite being criticized in this house but now we shy away from shaking hands with each other.

Meanwhile the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub khan reply in his address on the offer of the Prime Minister, he again stated his conditions and said that the party leaders and workers including the founder PTI should be released then we will talk with government. Umar Ayub said, I want to tell the Prime Minister of Form 47 that the environment was improving. It will happen when my Prime Minister comes out. It will happen when my prisoners come out, this house will be able to run when we have respect.

The leader of the opposition said that reconciliation will happen when you realize the abuse of Yasmin Rashid, Mahmood-ul-Rashid. Reconciliation will happen when you realize the abuse of Hasan Niazi.

If seen, there is a desire from both sides to end the ongoing political anarchy in the country. For which even if a new charter of democracy has to be made, there is no harm in it. This can be possible when flexibility is demonstrated from both sides.

Especially in this regard Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf will have to leave behind its static politics and return to national politics. On the other hand that demand of Tehreek-e-Insaaf is quite weighty that their leaders should be released first or at least those leaders who have been declared by the courts to be illegally arrested should be released immediately.

Like the arrest of Sheree Mazarin than yesterday has also been declared illegal. If understood, in some cases the objections of Tehreek-e-Insaf that their leaders are being harassed unjustifiably are justified. Regardless of that, Tehreek-e-Insaf had also troubled the leaders of Muslim League during their rule. Tehreek-e-Insaf should also think a little while talking.

Therefore, flexibility on both sides can save the country’s democratic system. If the past continues in the same way, then the affairs between the government and the opposition parties will not be able to move forward.

Thus it is necessary to adopt a policy of giving something and taking something from both sides. Apart from that, there is no proven way to sustain democracy in the country.
