Islamabad: Chief of Staff Committee (CJCSC) General Sahir Shamshad Mirza called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. CJCSC congratulated the President on his inauguration as the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan.
The CJCSC briefed the President on the state of national security and the operational readiness of the armed forces. He said the country’s Armed Forces can effectively deal with internal and external security issues.
The President appreciated the role of the Pakistan Armed Forces in protecting the national borders, as well as their contribution to the socio-economic development of the country. He said he has full confidence in the country’s security forces to successfully deal with internal and external security challenges.
At the meeting, it was decided to eliminate the threat of terrorism with the support of Turkmenistan.
