ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) today barred Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Shaukat Yousafzai from traveling to Britain.
Former provincial minister Shaukat Yousafzai was again offloaded from the Islamabad International Airport.
The PTI leader was connected via Turkey to Manchester, England by Turkish Airlines flight, but he was stopped at the airport by the FIA.
The FIA informed Shaukat Yousafzai that he was banned from traveling abroad and his name was included in the Exit Control List (ECL) in the first order and his arrest in the second order.
However, PTI leader Shaukat Yousafzai was brought back by being unloaded from the plane.
It is pertinent to note that Turkish Airlines has issued Shaukat Yousafzai’s boarding pass. Shaukat Yousafzai claimed to meet her daughter in Manchester.
He revealed that an FIR has been registered against him at the Shangla Police Station in Karora, barring him from performing Umrah.
The court released him on bail, but the federal government has yet to remove his name from the ECL.
