MUMBAI: Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is set to undergo urgent medical treatment in the United States after a recent eye surgery in Mumbai did not go as planned.
According to the report, Khan visited a hospital in Mumbai on Monday, July 29 for eye treatment, but developed complications that required further medical attention.
A source revealed, “Shah Rukh Khan went to a Mumbai hospital on Monday for eye treatment. The treatment did not go as planned. SRK is now being rushed to the US to repair the damage.”
Details of the initial treatment and its complications remain undisclosed.
This development follows an earlier health scare for Khan, who suffered heatstroke on May 21 while attending an IPL match in Ahmedabad.
He was hospitalized and released the next day.
Khan’s recent health issues have worried fans and teammates alike.
During his hospitalization in Ahmedabad, his wife Gauri Khan and long-time friend and KKR co-owner Juhi Chawla visited him.
In an interview in May, Chawla assured fans that Khan was recovering well.
Shah Rukh Khan was last seen in ‘Dunki’ (2023) and is reportedly working on Sujoy Ghosh’s upcoming project ‘King’.
