WANA: Under the direction of DFO South Waziristan Zeeshan and under the supervision of SDFO Wana, forest department staff with the help of police personnel conducted a successful operation on Sunday.
Authorities seized two trucks loaded with illegal woods in Tanai area of the Lower South Waziristan (SWL) tribal district.
A fine of Rs 800,000 has been imposed on both the trucks.
On this occasion, Forest Officer Azmat Wazir said that South Waziristan Forest Department is making great efforts that illegal woods should be prevented.

He said that no one can be allowed to do this kind of business, or take the woods to another city in the form of smuggling.
He further said that our staff has been strictly instructed by the higher authorities that the smuggled woods should not be left under any circumstances and immediate action should be taken against them.
Finally, Forest Officer Azmat Wazir said that trucks loaded with wood are not allowed at all circumstances and departmental action will be taken against them.
