ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Ataullah Tarar has slammed the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, claiming that its association with Indian elements has exposed its anti-national agenda. He accused the PTI of colluding with foreign adversaries to further its anti-Pakistan agenda, specifically citing an interaction between PTI leader Raoof Hasan and Indian journalists as evidence. Tarar argued that the collaboration between PTI founder Faiz Hameed along with the party’s involvement in anti-Pakistani journalists across the eastern border and decisions to bring extremist elements back across the western border constituted a serious betrayal of national interests. He claimed that Hasan’s communication with an Indian journalist known for his anti-Pakistan sentiments further exposed PTI’s disloyalty to the country. The information minister alleged that the foreign-funded PTI had previously damaged Pakistan’s foreign policy through controversial diplomatic channels and was now threatening national integrity by relying on foreign patrons. The minister pointed out that Hasan’s interaction with the Indian journalist reflected PTI’s broader agenda of undermining Pakistan’s sovereignty. He suggested that this was consistent with the May 9 attacks and with the party’s social media cell in Islamabad engaged in anti-military propaganda with links to India. Tarar accused the PTI of pushing a foreign agenda that promotes chaos and destabilization in Pakistan. He further claimed that the party’s foreign funding and recent interactions with Indian journalists confirm its alignment with hostile foreign agendas against Pakistan.
