SWAT: A father-in-law was shot and killed his daughter-in-law and eleven-month-old granddaughter in the Kokarai area of Swat district here last night. The accused was firing at his son Sajjad when the deceased got hit. Nasir Rafiq SHO, Kokarai police station told this scribe that Sajjad, a resident of Kokarai, used to come home late every night and his father Liaqat Ali threatened him to come earlier in the evening.

“Last night when he came home late as usual, the father opened fire on him and Sajjad ran into his room, adding that his wife Ms. Kainat Bibi was closing the door when she came under fire and as a result, she and her eleven-month-old daughter Marina died on the spot.” he said. The accused Liaqat has escaped after the incident. However, the police have registered a case against him and started searching.
