HAMPSHIRE: Former US ambassador to the United Nations Nikki Haley was dealt a crushing blow when former President and Republican front-runner Donald Trump won the New Hampshire primary, according to US media.
Earlier, in response to a question regarding his key opponent and former US ambassador to the UN Nikki Haley staying into Super Tuesday, the former president said: “I don’t care if she stays in, let her do whatever she wants, it doesn’t matter.”
During a surprise visit to a polling booth in Londonderry, New Hampshire, accompanied by his ally Marjorie Taylor Greene, Trump criticized incumbent President Joe Biden, saying, “I think that Biden is the worst president in the history “But we’ll all come back. They are all coming back. “And I believe you can see that here,” the 77-year-old remarked.
“The worst kept secret in politics is how badly the Democrats want to run against Donald Trump,” she told a watch party in New Hampshire, adding that “a Trump nomination is a Biden win.”
In response to the former president’s victory, President Joe Biden’s campaign stated Tuesday that the results of the Republican primary prove that Donald Trump has “all but locked up” the 2024 GOP candidacy.
“Tonight’s results confirm Donald Trump has all but locked up the GOP nomination, and the election-denying, anti-freedom MAGA movement has completed its takeover of the Republican Party,” Biden campaign manager Julie Chavez Rodriguez said in a statement.
