LAHORE:– Former federal minister Fawad Chaudhry on Wednesday said that Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif were on the wrong side of history.
He made these remarks during his appearance at the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in the case registered against him.
He said that the ban of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf will be discussed in the cabinet meeting, adding that whoever sides with Nawaz Sharif and Asif Zardari will not be able to survive in politics in future.
Talking about PTI founder Imran Khan, he said that 14 months of illegal imprisonment of Imran Khan could not achieve anything for the government as people voted for his party without PTI having a party symbol for polls.
He warned the government against rampant human rights violations that could lead to anarchy. “The world is watching everything that happens in Pakistan, where even court orders are swept under the carpet,” he warned.
The former minister stressed the need to strengthen the judiciary and said people should obey court orders.
He also criticized those who maligned the armed forces from abroad, warning that it would not do them any good.
“PTI is not spreading digital terrorism because anti-Pakistan people are involved in it. We have to ensure stability in Pakistan, which is not possible without Imran Khan in the saddle,” he concluded.
