Every year like all over the world in Pakistan including Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and provincial capital Peshawar, on the occasion of New Year Night youth come out on their bikes while the children of khans and vaderas (elite) start firing due to which many people got injured or killed.
The question here is not that why do we celebrate New Year’s night but the question is why do we celebrate it in such a stupid way? Due to which precious human lives are lost. Originally New Year’s Night was European festival that has now become an international festival.
On this occasion special funfairs are organized in America and Europe where the celebration is illustrious in a highly good manner while observing the country’s laws. But in South Asian countries including India, Pakistan and Bangladesh New year night celebrated in a very extravagant way where people either die from excessive alcohol consumption on that night or like in Pakistan from aerial firing.
This year too, 26 people have been seriously injured in the city of lights Karachi. On the other hand in the provincial capital Peshawar, heavy firing was also done last night but fortunately there was no report of injury to any citizen but it spread panic.
At that occasion police was disappears because she was following a specific political party workers.
If we look at that situation on social level, firing on New Year’s Night and other happy junctures is considered it is the responsibility of social figures and parents more than the law enforcement agencies to train their children to celebrate New Year’s Night in a peaceful way.
If the work is carried out through fireworks instead of firing not only their own children will be safe from going to police stations but the lives of other children will also be safe. But unfortunately it has to be said that the elites allow their children to show off themselves, which is often costly.
If we look at the history of the country it is sad to say that during this time we have not accomplished any significant achievement that we can be proud of enough to spend money on celebrating.
On the contrary even if the people of China, India and Bangladesh who celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm then these countries have stood on their feet but our economy, society and democracy have reached the edge of destruction.
There is a hot market for bribery, corruption, police brutality, stalking and fraud everywhere. From the ruling class to a journalist and a winder is busy in harming the country or nation. Due to which the country has gained such a bad name all over the world that whenever we show any such madness (heavy drinking or firing) on the occasion of New Year’s night, the world definitely laughed at it, as we have no bread on the table but have gone to celebrate in an urban way.
Consequently it is necessary that on the one hand the law enforcement agencies should arrest such elements in order to discourage those who opened fire on New Year Night and wedding celebrations instead these parents should be bound by the society.
It is the responsibility of the social and leading personalities to help the law enforcement agencies to generate awareness in the society that celebration is not about ruining the life of a happy family but instead There is a need to help the poor and send gifts to their homes because more than eighty five percent of the population of a country with a nuclear capability cannot meet all their needs.
So intelligent youths should stay away from these traditions and also prevent their rich friends from doing that so in order to create a civilized society in the future.
