ISLAMABAD: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was inked on Thursday by Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) and the National Commission for Human Development (NCHD) to establish a cooperative effort aimed at advancing literacy, advancing basic education, and offering specialized education.
The collaborative efforts will encompass the enrollment of children who are not enrolled in school, the provision of internships for students, the execution of joint research projects, and the planning of conferences, seminars, and workshops. The ceremony was presided over by Prof. Dr. Nasir Mahmood, Vice Chancellor of AIOU.
As part of the agreement, lectures and classes may be recorded at AIOU’s studios, and periodicals, books, magazines, and other literature that interests both parties may be exchanged. In addition, NCHD will provide internship opportunities to AIOU students.

Dr. Muhammad Ajmal, Chairman of the Department of Distance, Non-Formal, and Continuing Education, and Mirza Nasiruddin Mashhood Ahmed, Director General of NCHD, signed the Memorandum of Understanding.
The ceremony was attended by the Dean, Faculty of Education, AIOU, Prof. Dr. Fazal-Ur-Rehman, Executive Director, ORIC, Dr. Muhammad Latif Gondal, Director, Coordination and Follow-up, Dr. Syed Amir Shah, and other faculty members.
Participating at the ceremony were NCHD’s Director of Education Habibullah Khan, Deputy Director of Education Tahir Hameed Wayan, and Deputy Director of Literacy Tahir Zubair.
